TINYcon 2018: A TINYpulse Conference

Problem:

TINYpulse throws an annual conference for HR professionals, but didn’t have any conference branding that made it unique each year.

Solution:

Design a unique brand for the conference in September 2018, focused around the Employee Experience. Constraints were to keep current TINYpulse branding and colors, and finalize the brand concept within 4 days.

I created a TINYcon conference logo to help brand the conference. Stakeholders and internal employees were shown different visual concepts to review and decided to move forward with the concept of a ripple effect. This concept was a favorite for two reasons. One, the employee experience is seen as a ripple effect through organizations, doing 1 thing can cause a ripple effect through an organization. And two, the TINYpulse logo is a lotus, and lotus’s grow in murky water, coming to the surface clean and beautiful, much like good culture sprouting out of the bad.

Designed an interactive Wall of Wins for guests to post HR and Organizational “wins” at the conference. This was a well received addition to the conference, and attendees would stop and read “wins” from other organizations. We received feedback that this helped to give them ideas for their own orgs.

Designed a postcard to be sent to by TINYpulse employees to potential TINYcon attendees with a handwritten heartfelt note.

Created “Dine Around Seattle” signage. Dine Around Seattle, was how the conference guests would get a literal taste for the PNW. TINYpulse employees would lead groups of conference attendees to different restaurants for dinner. This creates a unique atmosphere, where attendees and employees could relax, and discuss.

Created a Powerpoint and Google Slides template for guest speakers to use to present. Shown below is the template given to attendees to customize.

Designed the podium branding that would be the forefront of all eyes, when a speaker was center stage. I also took event photography for the entire event, over 3 days, with the help of our Junior Designer.
